Becoming Racially Conscious with Rev Dr. Terrlyn Curry Avery
Friday Jun 18, 2021
Friday Jun 18, 2021
A year ago, in my work to support women coaches and client-based business owners with the expansion of their wealth and leadership, I began questioning if I was doing enough both personally and professionally to be the leader I thought I was.
I always thought I was racially conscious, inclusive, and diverse, but when I started looking at my business and myself as a business owner, I realized that there was so much more work I could be doing.
As I had this awareness, I was struggling to figure out exactly where to start, what to change first, and who could lead me on this journey.
It turned out that I had the perfect woman in my life to guide me. A former client and a dear person who'd been subtly giving me guidance to become a more conscious, inclusive, and diverse leader.
Today I have the genuine pleasure of introducing you to Rev. Dr. Terrlyn L. Curry Avery, Pastologist, Spiritual Leader, Author and Speaker.
Some years ago she attended one of my live events. We worked together for over three years to grow, monetize and scale her business.
In this special interview we talk about:
How and why she decided to invest in her business (during a time it may have felt risky to do so).
How she grew and monetized her business (and what clicked when she made certain changes)
What she's taught me to do as a business owner to become more racially conscious, diverse and inclusive (and some of the exact changes I've made in the process).
What the first steps to racial consciousness are (and how to begin)
How to support your clients of color
And so much more.
It's a long interview and we covered quite a lot, but there's so much to our conversation and I cannot wait for you to hear it.

How One Misunderstanding Resulted In $1.25 Million In Sales with Sage Polaris
Saturday May 22, 2021
Saturday May 22, 2021
Today I share several forms of selling, serving, and stepping into your business with Conscious Launch Strategist for the Internet Rich and Famous, Sage Polaris.
Having met through a colleague shortly before hosting a joint live event, I first supported Sage with converting from the stage at her live event. Quickly discovering that she knew more about copy, launching and how to communicate and convert through the written word, I hired her to not only help me with writing copy and supporting the copy for my live event, I then invited her to begin coaching my clients inside my mastermind.
I've learned so much from her over the last few years, that I knew immediately she needed to come on the show and share her brilliance with my listeners too.
We talk about many topics in this episode including managing our energy, the race to 7-figures (and what's right for us) and so much more.
Tune in, take notes and leave a review. I'd love to hear what you thought of the episode.

There comes a time in every business when you get to the point of making money where you wonder how to keep more of it.
In my work, I spend a good amount of time and strategy supporting clients with getting clients, making money and scaling into 6, 6+ and 7-figures.
With my skill set in lead and revenue generation strategy, I don't focus on what this week's guest talks about - how to keep more of what you're making and make smarter choices around how you're investing money.
None of us chose to go into business to not make money, but there comes a time when it may seem that you're not retaining much of what you make.
In this episode, you'll discover what to focus on and how to make this a priority in your business growth.
Not only am I thrilled to share Nicky's expertise with you this week, but as I had the chance to support her expansion from private work into the creation and launch of her leveraged program. I cannot wait for you to hear how she's now bringing her work to more people.

Finding and Leaning Into Your Expertise with Bryna Haynes
Friday May 07, 2021
Friday May 07, 2021
Today I'm joined by Bryna Haynes, a dear friend, colleague, former client, and the book coach helping me write my first book.
Having been through her own business transformation and pivot, I asked Bryna to come on to talk about her journey and what's happened now that she's fully integrated her skills, talents, passion, and expertise into her business.
When we first met at one of my live events some years back, Bryna had a writing and editing business and wanted to take it to 6-figures. She joined my coaching program that year, had her second child, and did make 6-figures.
But what happened next is something that happened to me and many others I see when they reach a specific stage of business, some second-guessing and wondering if the path is still correct.
In this episode you'll hear:
What happened after her first 6-figure year (and how it birthed an entirely new business).
How she fully integrated all parts of herself and how it impacted how she now works, serves and supports others.
What's possible when you lean into your expertise (and how to turn it into programs, books and more).
How when she made the decision to invest in herself and hire a coach how she stopped tinkering in her business and got serious about it.
And so much more.
If you're wanting to fully step into yourself and your work, I think you'll enjoy this special episode.

I'm joined today by Lynne Twist and Sara Vetter of The Soul of Money Institute.
For more than 40 years, Lynne Twist has been a recognized global visionary committed to alleviating poverty, ending world hunger, and supporting social justice and environmental sustainability. From working with Mother Teresa in Calcutta to the refugee camps in Ethiopia and the threatened rainforests of the Amazon, as well as guiding the philanthropy of some of the world’s wealthiest families, Lynne’s on-the-ground work has brought her a deep understanding of people’s relationship with money.
Sara Vetter is the Business Development Director of the Soul of Money Institute and is a coach, consultant, workshop leader, keynote speaker, and strategist. She is also the Major Gift Fundraiser for the Pachamama Alliance.
At the start of the pandemic, they recognized a need to help their audience find calm in the chaos of the times. In doing so, they created a series of masterclasses that reached individuals across the globe.
What came next was a deep dive into developing programs, new content, and a complete business redesign.
For the past year, I've been working with them to help them bring their work to more people while also helping them redesign their business online.
Inspired by them, their mission, boundless energy and work they do in the world; I wanted to bring them on the show to talk about their work, the pivot they made, the role of women and why it's important to overcome your scarcity thinking in order to make a bigger difference in the world.
In this very special interview you'll discover:
The process they use to work through issues, develop ideas and content for their trainings and programs.
Why the time is now for women (and what our role is).
What they've learned about running a business during this time.
Why what we believe to be true about money and success isn't really the truth at all.
The secret to sufficiency and radical contentment.
How to step into making the difference you want to make in the world.
And so much more.

How To Be a Great Podcast Guest
Friday Apr 23, 2021
Friday Apr 23, 2021
Becoming a podcast guest is a great way to get known and found by potential clients. Being a guest is one of the ways I’ve become known, built my list, and grown all of my coaching communities.
While it’s easy to think that being a guest is all about the opportunity it presents for you and your business, reframing this to think about adding value as a guest goes a long way for the host and for future speaking opportunities.
As someone who’s been a guest speaker on podcasts and live stages for over 10 years, I’ve learned a few things about how to become a great guest speaker.
Now that I have my own podcast, I also know what makes some of my guest episodes get more downloads, likes, comments, and shares.
Here’s a little of what I’ve learned and what I think is important for you to know as you get more guest speaking spots. You'll discover:
Some of the common mistakes podcast guests make (and what to do instead).
How to make your episode one of your hosts' most listened to and downloaded episodes.
The #1 thing you don't want to forget to give listeners.
And much more.
Listen in and start becoming a better podcast guest.

Like most business owners I know, growing a business sometimes takes a toll on other areas of your life.
I found that to be true the more my business grew and discovered it harder to manage my weight, time and energy.
Every year that passed, I gained more and more weight. The funny thing was that I kept reaching new wonderful business milestones along the way.
Hosting annual events allowed me to keep my weight in check, but every year the scale kept tracking higher numbers.
Was it my stage of life? My stage of business? The stress of running a business? All of it?
I finally got to the point shortly before the end of 2020 to jump in and make the changes I knew I needed to make.
What I discovered was:
What was leading to my weight gain and energy loss
How business success was part of the problem
What to do to release the weight, gain the energy and design my business in a way that serves me and my life best
This episode breaks it all down.
If you're finding yourself in midlife, running a business, and not feeling your absolute best - I hope you'll listen in.
